At last, there’s a method to my madness! I finally figured out what I’ve been doing throughout my chemo journey; besides accumulating so many hats, beanies and caps, I didn’t have enough places to wear them all.
There’s nothing like hindsight to realize I wrote to take the fear out of cancer and gladly played the fool.
And now that I’ve written my way through chemo, I’m not sure if my most significant accomplishment was the writing or the chemo.
There will always be someone like me who needs to get over a fear of chemo. So this handy index is a perfect place to start.
But what I also wound up learning is my fear of chemo is your fear of fill-in-the-blank.
That part of life that scares you, heck, there’s got to be something. And if you approach it with love and fun, I’m proof you’ll get through your fear, too.
And now I’ve gotten to the point I can put my hands in the air and yell to fear, ‘bring it on!” Well, not yet, but let’s pretend since this is a wrap-up (and I’m trying to show personal growth here).
But for those of you who probably could have written this index for me, we’ve come a long way. We’ve shared the love, the fun, and the journey. It’s time to call it a wrap.
To make this an official wrap, I’m making a cameo appearance in the girls mash-up of “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” It’s not as silly as a beanie genie video, yet we finally got to put the hats to good use.
Quick! Before I forget–
